Cassidy's story continues, and I continue to enjoy living in Lantern Beach with her and all the characters. This book has more of Cassidy and Ty, plus more Mac; all of which I enjoyed. It's a little more suspenseful than the previous books in the series because it involves an actual sighting of someone who looks like DH-7's new leader. Read it. You won't want to put it down.
Christy Barritt will keep you turning the pages. I received the first book in the series as a freebie. When I finished it I ordered the next one and before I knew it I bought all 6 books in the series and loved each one. I read all six books in less than 7 days. There is suspense, murder, gang related drug trafficking, humor- an ice cream that seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to playing music - even when its not turned on. You can read each book in the series as a stand alone but each one will not complete the whole story. Each one is better than the last and has a teaser at the end. There is human trafficking, romance, a lighthouse that plays a part in almost all the books. Some of the characters are just that - characters to love, laugh at, some that will make you wonder which side of the law they are really on. My kindle went everywhere with me while I was reading this series.No one asked me to read, review or say anything about these books. All opinions are my own and all I can say is that I was sorry to see the series to come to an end. I normally don't like series that go more than 3-4 books. I highly recommend the Lantern Beach series. WARNING!! You might lose some sleep or let a few errands go. I did.

Cassidy is called for a meeting with Serena and sees someone she thinks she recognizes from her recent past. The questions plague her as far as just how much she should tell Ty. This book will grab you from the start and not let up til you read the last word. I’ve been a little suspicious of one character since the beginning of this series, and though no closer to knowing for sure am left wondering if I’m going to be right about this once we reach the end of this series.
The fourth book in the Lantern Beach series finds our heroine facing a more dangerous foe than ever, one from her past work as an undercover agent. When her enemy captures her friend and callously blows away a former recipient of Cassidy's good detective work, Cassidy has to face this giant of a killer by herself. Obviously, she survives yet another ordeal, because the series continues. I recommend getting the entire series and reading them one after the other.
This book was much more intense than the others have been, more action than I expected. LOVED how Cassidy's friends all stand together to protect her and how much Mac is in this plot! Serena's a good kid, but is annoying for me. Never get tired of Elsa, the ice cream truck :) Looking forward to finishing this series and willing to bet Cassidy will not be returning to Seattle when the case is over.
I love Christy's writing style. It is clean, inspiring, suspenseful, and always a twist. Some good clean romance thrown in to boot! I can hardly wait for the next book just to see if Cady can find out who is behind the gang. This is a fun series. Deserves a five for sure.
