I'm giving this a 1 star because of the numerous typographical errors in the mathematics portions. There may be others in the verbal portions, but such errors are worse in the mathematical parts because they will throw a student off and make him/her think it is their fault that they don't understand something. Here are some of the errors I found:On p. 204, when explaining scientific notation, in the middle of the page it should read 1 <= a < 10 (it actually just says a < 10).p. 215, problem 49, it says all of the following products are equal *except*, and you're supposed to pick out the one that is different. But they are all equal, the problem cannot be answered as stated. This is evidently a typo in part (E).On p 232, at the bottom of the page, in the "multiply" example the + sign should be in the exponent; on the same page at the bottom, the multiply sign should be in the exponent; on the next page, again the + sign should be in the exponent.On page 238, problem 27, it should read 11 - x < 5 (without the first < sign). It makes no sense as written.In my opinion the proofreading of the book especially the mathematics part is poor.

It's a big and heavy book, first you think you're getting everything then it turns out it has all lower, middle and higher level test. Why would you need all levels? Your child will be prepping for one level only, the rest is useless.And practice tests aren't even labeled for levels. So you have to guess if the test is appropriate for your child's grade/level. We returned after wasting a day figuring out where to begin.

It is not worth. Too Complicated, too much of information to dig for too little that you will get. I do not recommend. This book has too many tests information and not good for any test prepration single handedly.

I found the book by searching for Upper Level SSAT practices. It said it's 6 practices in the book, but turns out it has one practice for lower level, one for middle level and only one for higher level SSAT; and other one per level for ISEE.What kind of users will need all levels in ONE book? Most student will be preparing for one level only, all others are just useless. It's ridiculous. I am going to return it, since the value that I get from the book is really not worth this much money.

This is the exact same book that I have purchased for the past 2 years only with a new cover! Nothing has been updated but the price.

The Kaplan books are first-rate. Indispensable.

This book includes very detailed Explanation of SSAT test. I borrowed a book from the library and decide to purchase my own copy. Worth it.
