X by Ed Sheeran is a romantic music set containing many of the quirky tunes that are currently pretty popular such as Singing, Thinking Out Loud, and Photograph. There are also some meaningful tunes that as far as I know have not yet received ample radio play but are still enjoyable to listen to such as Afire Love.

Ed is an amazing LIVE performer & doesn't disappoint here as he gives an amazing live performance at one of the worlds well known & largest stadiums! Wembely was one of the most expensive stadiums EVER built at £798 million British Sterling! WOW this is great! I loved seeing Ed live in concert and haven't been able to find anything to re-create that feeling of seeing him again - until this DVD/CD. What a pleasure to watch him create huge sonic masterpieces again and again in front of the Wembley crowd. Great production value on the DVD and the extra CD songs were worth owning "X" a second time. Highly recommend for even the casual Ed Sheeran listener - this will turn you into a superfan!

This could have been the perfect pop/rock album. Every song is outstanding, and this album certainly finds Ed Sheeran stepping up his game in a big way from his debut. The review by Nse Ette covers the stand-out singles here well, and there is a great mix of up-front catchy pop anthems and soulful ballads that will continue to grow on you with every listen. My only complaint here is song-order. Like I said, this album could've been perfect, but there's little-to-no flow as you go through from song to song. In my view the correct order (and I've thought about this WAY too much) is:1. I'm a Mess (really highlights the overall feel of the album)2. Don't (could easily have been the lead-off single)3. Photograph4. Runaway5. Nina6. Tenerife Sea7. Bloodstream (my personal favorite)8. Sing9. The Man10. Afire Love11. Thinking Out Loud12. One (far better closer than opener)

Ed is best on 7 of the tracks. You'll know the ones I mean. Not the "trying to be current or hip" mixed-rap tracks but on the 7 tracks where he discovers complexity and simplicity at the same time. Come on, Ed. Be one of the best by staying a little folksy. Be one of the best by talking about something else besides love. There are other things to write about, man. Write an album with 3 love songs, but get mad at a couple of things going down in the world. Read Dylan's lyrics. You are very close to the best. Don't let the biz dictate your cuts. Just go a little deeper, man, and you're there. When you are really high in the clouds like on the 1st couple of tracks - stay there - don't let the fads of some other pieces let you fade. Look at music history over the past 6 decades. Fad = fade. Stay close to the bone. Of course, in my book 7 good tracks ain't bad; but I would rather not have to select your best work - I would rather just let the whole CD play through. LYRICS!

I came across "Thinking out Loud" a couple of months ago on the radio, and it made my heart smile. We are an older couple, so have changed the age to ninety (listen and you'll understand) .It has been decades since I have purchased a CD where every single track is a hit. Ed Sheeran is a musical genius and I'm looking forward to catching him live during his US or BC tour, though tickets are already sold out.This is a must have for any serious music lover. You'll know that you are experiencing a complete package.

It doesn't get better than this -- all the songs from the X album plus extras from the concert. Love it!

Even better than his first release, as he keeps getting better & better! Even liked the token hip-hop track, as many of these pop tracks are quite ready dance music! Deserves a six star rating! Thanx!

Ed Sheeran is a phenomenally talented musical artist! He writes fantastic music, has collaborated with other stars, his lyrics touch you in such a profound way & he has a voice that is spell-binding! I am planning on going to his concert to see him Live! He is so young, so talented and Cute as can be! His youtube videos of his songs are amazing and give an example of the great performer that he is! Must watch his video of "Thinking Out Loud"!!!!! I look forward to enjoying Ed and his music for years to come! He is a Rising Star - Awesome now & will only get better like fine wine! Hugs to you Ed!
