This is a very pretty book with nice illustrations, fun facts, and pictures organized into various "trails" by theme. There is a "sporty" trail w/ stadiums, a "foodie", a "historical", etc. Each trail has about 8 stopping points and a drawn path from point to point...but NO MAP of the actual trail! I had to go into Google Maps and save a map. I stopped after the first map I made. If you are looking for a book for your kids to learn more about Paris...this is nice, but we are leaving in 2 weeks and I have yet to find an actual guide book for kids that we like.

I bought this for my nine year old but after previewing it I will be returning this book. Adultery, graphic beheading, and cannibalism are all described in this "children's" book. It is very dark and sensationalist.

Good to read before going. My 14 year old actually liked it but the 11 year old was not interested. A map would be a great help, however.

My daughter loved it. It has beautiful pictures and interesting information

Our daughter (6 and a half) loved this book on our recent trip to Paris. The fun facts were fun for us grown-ups as well! It made a great read at bedtime as well as on trains, planes, and automobiles. A great way to engage kids in history and introduce them to a new land!

My eight-year-old devoured this before our trip to Paris! It was very accessible and made the city come alive for her. She liked it so much, I read it as well, and I was glad I did. There's a lot of useful information and fun trivia. I will look for these books before every trip with our kids.

My daughter really likes this book (12 years old)

This book was disappointing. It was not helpful in Paris. I would like to return it.
